Week 8
Hello week 8!
This second pregnancy is way different from its brother. I’m thankful that I don’t have any morning sickness. BUT each morning I wake up feeling sluggish and very hungry. Thanks to N who’s still not sleeping through on most nights. By that I mean 6 out of 7 nights. Weekends are worst, thanks to our full on socializing schedule cell group & other important things. Late night finish, delayed sleep, less naps, early start and voila! A formula to disastrous sleep.
I do however had series of slight nausea between dinner and sleep time. I felt like I’ve been beaten down gazillion times after I put N to sleep. Usually after N sleeps I’ll go downstairs and chat with Phodi but last week I snoozed straight away. Up to the point that I was holding my phone and slept through. That’s new. Lol.
Luckily my appetite is OK. In fact, I’m hungry all the time. Providing meals to 2 kids surely is fat consuming. I’m also fine with scents and all. I’m just tired all the time.
This pregnancy is also different because most of the time I forget that I am pregnant. Having N around surely distracts my focus on the baby. I feel that it’s ok. N needs lots more attention these days as he’s learning wayyyyy too fast. The baby on the other hand, is ok doing his own thing. Growing according to God’s hands
The cutest thing though, several times N ran up to me and said “mwahhh” while kissing my tummy. And while changing clothes he likes to stroke his tummy and said “baby”. Aww he melts my heart each time!! I’m very sure he hasn’t realized what actually happen yet as most of the times he refers to himself as “baby”. Hahaha. But maybe he has a clue from a book titled “God Gave Us You” by Lisa Tawn Bergern. It’s such a sweet book that N enjoys. It tells a story of how special baby bear is, coming from God through mama bear’s tummy. So N might have the idea of kissing my tummy from that book. This child is the sweetest thing indeed.
So here I am, week 8 of pregnancy no. 2. 30+ weeks to go now. Feeling slightly beaten most nights, but I’ll keep the spirit high. Hopefully it will get better from now on. I’m also sending prayers to 5 other women who I know are pregnant. 3 of which are around the same week as I am and having their own struggles. Hang in there mamas (especially if it’s your first), not long now until we can feel its first kicks
I’m excited for all of us!
Blessings!
