Being pregnant and sick is…

Jan 20, 2014 by

dreadful! Gosh.. I wish someone had told me this one. It all started the day after I went back from year end family gathering at my grand. On that beautiful Sunday morning, I woke up with a hoarse voice! Nice start for a new year indeed. I went to church with the in-laws, ate at Bakmi GM and then… I started coughing like there’s no other day. Until today I still blame the MSG contained in the noodle.

We went back to Bandung that afternoon and I was feeling awful. For the whole week 9 of the pregnancy, the coughing didn’t cease. It even got worse during sleep. The continuous coughing caused serious sore throat and made me feel even worse :( Actually it wasn’t the sore throat that made me feel awful but the thought that the baby had some pressures every time I coughed. As much as I wanted to make sure that the baby’s ok, I didn’t go to see the doctor because I’m not allowed to have medicine anyway.

After three days of coughing and sore throat, I couldn’t take it anymore and finally turned to all natural medicine. Having honey, garling salt water 3x a day, drinking lime juice and having more sleep. They all worked! Hallelujah! My week of being sick was finally over and I was happily up and running again.
